When you’re trying to squeeze in a fresh haircut or update your color, it’s totally normal to wonder whether you reallyneed an appointment — or if you can just walk in and hope for the best. Here’s the honest breakdown so you always get the service, timing, and results you’re looking for.



1. Walk‑ins are possible — but not always guaranteed


Most salons (including mine!) can take walk‑ins when the schedule allows it.
But if the day is fully booked — especially on weekends or evenings — I never want you waiting around or feeling rushed.


If you want a quick trim:
Walk‑ins are more likely to work.


If you want color, balayage, foils, or smoothing treatments:
Always book ahead. These services require longer blocks of time and personalized prep.



2. Booking ahead secures the stylist, service, and timing you want


When you pre‑book, you get:

  • Your preferred stylist (no surprises!)

  • The exact time slot that fits your life

  • Enough time reserved for longer services

  • The correct prep + consultation for the look you want


It also ensures you’re not waiting behind a line of other walk‑ins.



3. Some services must be booked in advance


Because of timing and product preparation, these services require appointments:

  • All color services (root touch‑up, balayage, foils, color correction)

  • Smoothing or keratin treatments

  • Big transformations (major chop, long‑to‑short, reshaping)

  • Special‑event styling


These appointments let us plan properly and deliver your best result.



4. Walk‑ins are great for simple, quick services


If you’re popping in for:

  • A fringe/bang trim

  • A quick dry‑cut

  • A men’s or clipper cut

  • A kid’s trim


Then walking in is usually fine — but again, availability varies.



5. If you want the best experience, pre‑booking is your safest option


I always recommend booking in advance if:

  • You’re on a tight schedule

  • You want a specific stylist (like me!)

  • You’re doing anything involving color

  • You prefer zero wait time


Think of it as reserving the experience you want — without the stress.



6. Same‑day appointments are a perfect in‑between


If you’re feeling spontaneous, try calling or booking online for a same‑day spot.

It gives you the convenience of a walk‑in with the security of a confirmed time.
